Village Council
The Village of Breton is governed by a Mayor and 4 Councillors. Council fulfills the legislative function of the Village's municipal government. Council is responsible for establishing corporate policy and direction for both the short and long term.
Strategic Plan
Our Strategic Plan 2021-2025 is an important part of community sustainability, providing direction to staff and council as they allocate available resources to achieve a common vision of Breton in the future.
Elections
Municipal elections in Alberta are held every four years in accordance with the Municipal Government Act.
There will be a municipal by-election taking place on October 19, 2026. Nomination day will be September 21, 2026
